Washington/ Northern Virginia Chapter
The Communications Society represents all aspects of the advancement
of the science, engineering, technology and applications for transferring
information between locations by the use of signals. This includes: sources
and destinations involving all types of terminals, computers and information
processors; all pertinent systems and operations to bring about this transfer;
guided and unguided transmission media; switched and unswitched networks,
and network layouts, protocols, architectures and implementations.
Our speaker presentations are open to anyone who wishes to attend, we
encourage Communications Sociey members to bring friends or students to
the meetings. There are no fees unless specified in the meeting announcement.
If you have any suggestions for a presentation or you have one which
you have prepared, please give the Programs Vice Chair a call (or any of
the officers). We are always looking for good presentations at least four
months in advance.
