Next General Meeting: Thursday, February 26, Compatibility of the Electric Power Source and Load

At our next meeting, José Escamilla and Curtis Cryer of CPS Energy will help us understand the importance of matching source and load in the management of electrical power distribution. His presentation, titled, Compatibility of the Electric Power Source and Load, is expected to lead into a questions and answer session on how we can reduce our overall power consumption by good management practices.

Medium Voltage Technial Conference, Monday-Thursday, April 6-9, 3M

3M has scheduled a 4 day technical conference on medium voltage cable technology and techniques at their Center in Austin, Texas. The conference will focus on the science behind the technology as well as 3M products and how they can be applied to solve problems encountered in practice. There is no fee but you must register to attend. Thank you Jerry Paonessa, Assistant Technical Director of KENS-TV/DT Channel 5, for taking us into the world of TV stations and explaining the transition of Television transmission from analog to digital. It was an enlightening presentation.
