Workshop 4

IEEE CASE 2019 Workshop on Socio-Technical Systems

In the era of industry 4.0, the production system is referred to as a more complex, interconnected, intelligent socio-technical system - where technical, economic, political and social exchanges can flourish interactively. Therefore, technical, sociotechnical perspectives, and human aspects of automation systems should be thoroughly considered, well merged and jointly optimized. The scope of this workshop includes, but is not limited to:

· Ethics of code, big data, software engineering and Artificial Intelligence;

· Cyber physical production systems and industry 4.0;

· Socio-technical systems dynamics;

· Human factors in autonomous and intelligent Systems;

· Interdisciplinary and collaborative modeling and optimization,

· Policy, social implications and sustainability of technology.

This workshop includes keynotes, presentations led by speakers, and also a poster session, in which each participant with a poster will have 3-5 min to present their current work on a related topic. The workshop is to be concluded by a panel discussion looking into future roadmap.
