Author Guidelines

Papers to RoboSoft 2022 can be submitted on the PaperPlaza Conference/Journal submission page through either of the following options.

Submission to RoboSoft 2022

Conference paper submission deadline: November 1, 2021

Submission to IEEE Robotics and Automation Letters (RA-L)

Full RA-L paper submission deadline: October 11, 2021

When submitting to RA-L, select the option for presentation at RoboSoft and use one of the following 4 keywords as your 1st keyword:

  • Modeling, Control, and Learning for Soft Robots
  • Soft Sensors and Actuators
  • Soft Robot Materials and Design
  • Soft Robot Applications

For both submissions

Format

Six pages in standard IEEE format are allowed for each paper, including figures and references, and a maximum of two additional pages can be purchased. All papers should be prepared using A4 paper size (templates are available here) and be submitted in PDF format. Videos to complement the submission are strongly encouraged.

Detailed Video submission guidelines for contributed RoboSoft papers and RA-L submissions

  • File size: 20MB
  • File extension check and correction: mpeg, mp4, mpg
  • Maximum duration: 3 minutes
  • Minimum height: 480
  • Minimum frame rate (fps): 20
  • Scan type: progressive

A video that was not originally submitted with a contributed RoboSoft paper or RA-L paper with the RoboSoft option will not be accepted at a later date in the final RoboSoft paper submission or the revised RA-L submission with the RoboSoft option, after the peer-review of the paper is completed.

Submission of the final version

Every paper accepted for RoboSoft conference needs to be uploaded in final version through PaperPlaza during the final submission time window (March 15 – March 25). This applies also to papers accepted by RA-L.

Please use the same template recommended for the initial submission.

Accompanying material

In addition, please fill and submit the IEEE copyright form and upload your summary slide.
In summary, a total of three documents will need to be submitted:

  • The final version of your paper
  • Copyright form (provided at the moment of submission directly by PaperPlaza)
  • Summary Slide (the template can be found here)

Deadline

The hard deadline for the submission of these documents is March 25 (23:59:59 Pacific Time).
Please note if you fail to submit on time, your publication will not be included in the final proceedings.
