Officer Responsibilities
The role of the Chair is to outline the Vision and Goals for the Chapter, draw strategies and execute the collectively decided road-map to help achieve those goals. The Chair continuously works with the IEEE CT Section and the IEEE Computer Society to facilitate Chapter activities and help develop a Chapter Leadership that helps generate Intellectual curiosity and growth of the Computer Science/Computer Engineering/Electrical Engineering related professions
Vice-Chair:
The role of the Vice-Chair will be to help visualize the Goals
for the Chapter, draw strategies and execute the collectively decided road-map
to help achieve those goals. The Vice-Chair will complement the Chair in
generating Intellectual curiosity and development among Chapter members and to
help grow the Computer Science/Computer Engineering/Electrical Engineering related
professional objectives of members through Chapter activities
Secretary:
The role of the Secretary will be more as a catalyst
other than the general duties associated with a Secretary's role like taking
minutes and organizing meetings, drawing meeting agendas etc. The Secretary will
organize the ideas of ExCom in an implementable order and ensure
documentation to facilitate a smooth process-centric organization. The Secretary
will be required to present an Annual report for Chapter activities by
coordinating with the Section Secretary
Chief Events Coordinator:
The Chief Events Coordinator plans and oversees all Events and activities in the Chapter to ensure professional growth of members on a regular basis. The responsibility includes coordinating all resources necessary to hold Chapter meetings, Learning work-shops, Distinguished lectures, Joint chapter events and other participations Draws and manages agenda for the events, ensures speaker and guest availability and communicates with members regarding the events through publishing channels.
Chief Publisher-Web Content and Email:
The Chief Publisher of Web Content and Email will bring innovative content from Members on the website and will compose a comprehensive list of Computer Society related activities in CT and ensure regular communication with members. With help from other officers, he/she will compose a list of Patents (filed / granted), Research activities at various Universities across the state, Industry Research Activities and innovative practices in various CT companies, Social and promotional activities etc.
Editor - IEEE, Computer Society, CT Newsletter:
The Editor - IEEE Computer Society, CT Newletter will be our interface to the members and the larger IEEE community. The Editor will solicit articles, papers, publications from cross section of members and will collect, disseminate and present such information including Events and activities in CT that may help our members grow their professional endeavors. The Editor will ensure the Newsletter delivery on time to the members both in the Electronic and Printed form as necessary.
