'Mohammad is presented this award for his contribution to Student activities and plans.'


The winner of the IEEE WA Section Outstanding Young Professionals Volunteer Award is Jonathan Richetti

'Jonathan is presented this award for his contribution to Young Professionals activities and plans.'


The winner of the IEEE WA Section Outstanding Women in Engineering Volunteer Award is Nancy Zhong

'Nancy is presented this award for her contribution Women in engineering activities and plans.'


2019


The winner of the IEEE WA Section Outstanding Volunteer Award is Dr Douglas Chai:

'Douglas is presented this award for his distinguished accomplishments, significant achievements, professional, administrative and technical leadership contributions to IEEE Western Australia section and chapter activities and operations.'


The winner of the IEEE WA Section Outstanding Student Volunteer Award is Mr Chris Scherini:

'Chris is presented this award for his leadership and administration of the UWA student branch. He also demonstrated a high level of productivity and maturity in promotion of IEEE through other events and interaction with other Western Australian IEEE groups.'

2020


Curtin University 2020 Engineering Students Awards

The IEEE WA Section presented awards to the best Electrical and Electronic Engineer students at Curtin University. A/Prof Cesar Ortega-Sanchez representing the Section.

The students awarded were:

  • Mr Michael Betteridge. For outstanding achievement in the core second year units in the Bachelor of Electrical and Electronic Engineering Program.
  • Mr Shen Li. Electrical and Electronic Engineering student with the highest aggregate of marks in the units Power Systems Analysis and Power Electronics.



The winner of the IEEE ECU student prize is Sammy BALIMWACHA
