The winner of the IEEE WA Section Outstanding Student Volunteer Award is Mr Chris Scherini:
'Chris is presented this award for his leadership and administration of the UWA student branch. He also demonstrated a high level of productivity and maturity in promotion of IEEE through other events and interaction with other Western Australian IEEE groups.'

2020
Curtin University 2020 Engineering Students Awards
The IEEE WA Section presented awards to the best Electrical and Electronic Engineer students at Curtin University. A/Prof Cesar Ortega-Sanchez representing the Section.
The students awarded were:
- Mr Michael Betteridge. For outstanding achievement in the core second year units in the Bachelor of Electrical and Electronic Engineering Program.
- Mr Shen Li. Electrical and Electronic Engineering student with the highest aggregate of marks in the units Power Systems Analysis and Power Electronics.
