IEEE WA Section meetings
The IEEE WA section meets approximately every 6 weeks to discuss both operational items and long term goals.
All of the sub-units are represented at the section meeting - technical chapters, student branches, WIE, and YP. Volunteers also manage other specialised portfolios like web page, awards, and industry liaison.
The 2019 meetings are hosted at Murdoch University. On this occasion the meeting was hosted at Curtin University and a new pull up banner was on display. The pull up banner and the fabric banner are part of the sections plans to promote the IEEE brand at events. A proposal to form a new Industrial Electronics chapter was also discussed and approved at this meeting.
All of the entities are always looking for new volunteers to help. Please contact the section chairperson Harry McDonald at harry.mcdonald{at}ieee.org for further information.
