IEEE Orlando Section End-Of-The-Year-Celebration

Topic: "Navigating a Cybersecurity Career: A CISO’s Journey"

Guest Speaker: Elyson De La Cruz, Ph.D., SPOE Infrastructure Engineering 

Bio: Elyson De La Cruz is a seasoned cybersecurity executive with over two decades of experience, currently the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Imagine Believe Realize, a company specializing in software development for US government agencies. With a network, system, and cybersecurity engineering background, Elyson has designed and managed sensitive communication systems providing voice, video, and data services across multiple continents. He advises executive management on information technology programs affecting operational missions and strategic goals and is a trusted advisor on technology roadmaps for external customers. Elyson has oversight over IT and Cybersecurity departments, focusing on training, mentorship, and leadership. He has presented in IEEE conferences and published in academic journals. Elyson holds a PhD in Information Technology, an MS in Management Information Systems, an MA in Computer Resources and Information Management, an MBA, and over 40 professional certifications in cybersecurity, information technology, and systems engineering.

Note: The event will conclude with a short ExCom meeting to announce the election results.

Cost: Meeting attendance is free to all IEEE members and Non-IEEE members.
