Arrowhead Weston: From Confrontation to Construction
The project is a new and controversial 220 miles long 345-kV transmission line from Duluth to Wausau. The project was originally proposed in 1999 and began construction in 2005. The presentation will discuss the project and some of the past and future challenges of getting large infrastructure projects built based on the Arrowhead Weston Project.

Pete Holtz, General Manager, Arrowhead Weston Project Mr. Holtz is the General Manager of the Arrowhead Weston (AW) Project for the American Transmission Company (ATC). Prior to coming to ATC in 2000, Mr. Holtz worked for 25 years at We-Energies in a variety of customer service areas and managed a number of larger customer service projects, the last one being We Energies’ response to Y2K (if anyone remembers that). He came to ATC and began doing public/regulatory/government/community outreach in support of ATC projects. Mr. Holtz became manager of the AW Project in 2002. |
