• IIEE-IEEE Student Branch was formed on June 15, 1999. It was the sixth IEEE Student Branch in Pakistan and the only second to be established in Karachi.
• Inaugural ceremony of the newly formed IIEE-IEEE Student Branch and a seminar on “Industrial Electronics and Process Control” was held on August 25, 1999 in collaboration with the Karachi Section of IEEE. The Seminar was chaired by the Chairman of IEEE Karachi Section, Mr. Muhammad N. Sheriff.
