(09/07/20): IROS 2020 will not be held in-person. The safety and well-being of our participants is our priority. With the continued resurgence of COVID-19 within the State of Nevada, in particular Las Vegas, along with the city’s prohibiting large or even moderately-sized public gatherings, it makes it an impossibility to hold the in-person event as originally planned.
Instead, IROS On-Demand will be the platform to enjoyable and easily access IROS content anywhere, anytime, with any device. IROS On-Demand will be released Oct 25, 2020 and content will be available for 1-month minimum. More details will be released over the next few weeks.

The official language of the Conference will be English. We do not foresee offering simultaneous translation.

Las Vegas averages a daily maximum temperature for October is between 77 and 84℉ (25 to 29 ℃). The minimum temperature usually falls between 56 and 61 ℉ (13 to 16 ℃).
Electricity
Standard electrical outlets voltage is 120 V and the standard frequency is 60 Hz.
If you are traveling from Europe or elsewhere, you will need an adapter to use small appliances designed for a different standard (220/240 V).
Currency
The United States Dollar is the national currency. Automatic teller machines are readily available. Most hotels, restaurants and shops accept major credit cards.
The Casino Cages located at The Flamingo, LINQ, Harrahs, and Cromwell Las Vegas can assist guests with currency exchange transactions. Foreign currency may be exchanged up to $1,000.00 USD.
Banks
If you intend to use your overseas bank card or credit card, be certain that you have a PIN (personal identification number) that will work internationally (usually 4 digits) and that you know how much each transaction will cost (minimum and percentage exchange rate fees).
Some U.S. banks will only change currency for bank customers, but that is the exception. As long as you have proper identification (passport) and a major currency, most will exchange it for you. It is best to call ahead to verify that you will be able to make the exchange.
It may or may not be wiser to bring traveler's cheques or use the ATM, depending on your bank's policies and fees. However, it's always good to arrive with some currency on hand.
Tipping
While tipping is not mandatory in most of the United States, it is customary in many circumstances for service, especially at almost all sit-down restaurants which offer table service and many food servers depend on tips as an essential part of their wage.
General rule for waiters is to tip 15 to 20 percent of the pre-tax bill, and $2 to $5 per night for housekeeping service.
