All papers must be written in English and submitted electronically in PDF format no later than 23:59:00 (US Pacific Time) on September 17, 2012, via PaperPlaza (the conference/journal management system by IEEE).
In order to submit a paper, please follow the link to PaperPlaza. In the list of “Journals and Upcoming Conferences”, locate ICRA 2013, which is named “2013 IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation”. Click on “Submit a contribution to ICRA 2013″ to open the “Submission Wizard for the 2013 IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation”. Choose a type of submission and click on “Submit” to open the Submission Form. PaperPlaza will guide you through the remaining part of the submission process.

The number of pages including all figures is limited to six, but two additional pages will be permitted at an extra page charge of 150EUR per page. Besides the limitation of the number of pages, the file size is strictly limited up to 2MB. Prior to the submission, the pdf file should be checked for PDF Xpress compliance, see submission instructions at PaperPlaza. Links to LaTeX and Word templates can be found at the bottom of the page.

Authors are encouraged to include a single optional video, e.g. to show experimental results, in one of the following formats: mpg, mpeg or mp4. The resolution can be chosen freely. The file size is limited to 5MB.

All papers will go through a rigorous, single-blind reviewing process. At least one author of an accepted paper will have to register at the conference in order to submit the final version.

Accepted papers will be presented either in an oral-presentation session or an interactive session. Note that which style the paper will be presented in depends on the preference of modality and will be decided by the program committee.

All contributions will appear in full-length without distinction in the conference proceedings as well as at IEEE Xplore.

Plagiarism and Excessive Re-use of Earlier Material

Content of any submissions should be original and musn’t be submitted for consideration in any other conferences or journals. Submissions will be checked against (self-)plagiarism using the iThenticate tool provided by IEEE. Possible violations will be reported to IEEE for further investigation.
