About Accommodations at Lake Toya

The SSRR 2014 symposium venue, Toyako-cho Cultral Center, is at the west end of Toyako Onsen area. Toyako and Onsen mean Lake Toya and hot spring in Japanese respectively. All hotels in Toyako Onsen are within walking distance of the symposium place.

As well as other resort places in Japan, most hotels in Toyako Onsen mainly offer Japanese-style rooms with Tatami mats and Futon beds. Since these rooms are designed for three or four guests per room, the use by single guest is relatively expensive.
