The VTC-2002 Spring Conference will be held in Birmingham, Alabama. The objective of the conference is to provide the opportunity to present technical papers and posters, tutorials and exhibits that represent technical innovation and applications associated with an ever-expanding mobile wireless industry. Although the main focus of the conference is voice and data wireless mobile communications, papers addressing rail and automotive transportation topics are invited. The program committee invites your participation in the conference, and the following areas have been selected for submission of papers.

   Multiple Access Technology, Spread Spectrum Technology, Access Protocols, Channel Assignment.

   Modulation/Demodulation, Source/Channel Coding, Interference Rejection, Equalization and Synchronization, Multiuser Detection, Software Radio, Transceiver Design.
  
* Multimedia, Networks and Systems (04).
   Mobile Multimedia Technology, Mobile Data/Computing Navigation Networks, Wireless ATM.
 
* Wireless Personal Communications Systems (05).
   Broadband Mobile Communications Systems, Cellular Technology, Location Techniques.
 
* Mobile Satellite Communications (06).
   Mobile Satellite Communications, LEO/MEO/GEO Networks, Navigation.
  
* Transportation (07).
   Intelligent Transportation/Vehicle Systems, Electric and Hybrid Electric Propulsion Systems, Fuel Cells, Direct Engine Injection Systems, Energy Storage Systems.
 
* Submission of Abstracts
Authors must submit at the same time a short abstract and an extended abstract (two pages maximum, including text and figures).
