Gyeongbokgung Palace was built as the primary palace of the Chosun Kingdom by its founder, King Taejo in 1395, and it has a meaning of “shining happiness”. It was used as the Royal Palace for about 200 years. During the Joseon Dynasty, the royal guards were responsible for guarding and patrolling the royal palaces and opening and closing the gates of the palaces. After some extensive historical research, this splendid and elegant traditional Korean royal court cultural ceremony was first re-enacted in 1996 and has been a must-see among Seoul's tourist attractions ever since.

Bukchon Hanok Village was traditionally a residential area of the nobility during the Joseon period, and did not undergo any significant changes until the 1920s. However, in the 1930s, Seoul’s administrative districts were expanded and its urban structure was transformed into its modern appearance.

The Blue House is used known as a building which has the Oval Office, Stateroom, Conference room, and residence rooms until last president. The Oval Office for present president is located in the Ministry of National Defence in the Yongsan district, the building offcially converted into a public park and opened to public.
