Special session is a tradition of CASE; it provides opportunity for focused presentations and discussion on emerging and innovative topics of interest to the automation community. Industrial participation is particularly encouraged. The typical format consists of 4-5 presentations + an additional open/panel discussion led by the session chair(s) to highlight further research topics and future challenges.

IEEE CASE 2010 would like to invite proposal submission for special sessions. The proposal due date has been extended to 1/29/2010 and should consists of the following information:

  • Name of the session
  • Organizer names and affiliations
  • Description and rationale of the proposed session (for both review and publicity purposes)
  • Proposed format
  • Participants (name, affiliations, status -- confirmed or tentative)

The decision on the acceptance of the proposed special session will be communicated to the organizer by 2/1/2010. Papers in the accepted special session should be submitted via regular paper submission procedure, with the title of the special session stated on the first page of the paper. The papers will be reviewed by the program committee (with input from special session organizers).
