Industry Tours

ECCE is offering two industrial tours to delegates to VTA (Valley Transport Authority) and BAE Systems. The tours highlights are outlined below. Please sign up early as capacity is limited.

VTA
Date: Wednesday, September 23, 2009
Time: 12:30 – 2:00 pm
Location: 3331 North First Street, San Jose, CA

Tour Highlights:

First grid connected solar power plant: (Silicon cells, Durable reflector materials, Single-axis tracking)
Zero-Emission Bus Demonstration Program: (40-foot, low-floor, hydrogen fuel-cell bus, Hydrogen fueling station)

Transportation:
Bus will be waiting at the front door of the hotel at 12:00pm, Sept. 23.

BAE Systems
Date: Tuesday, September 22, 2009
Time: 7:00 – 8:30 am
Location: 1205 Coleman Ave, Santa Clara, CA
Requirements: Must be a U.S. Citizen. Please be prepared to show proof of citizenship.

3-D Modeling and Simulation
Mobility and Functional Testing for Tracked & Wheeled Military Vehicles

Transportation is on your own and bus directions are as follows:
To BAE:

Bus 10 (Westbound) departs the corner of Gateway Place and Airport Parkway at 6:27 AM or 6:43 AM.
You will exit the bus at arrive at the corner of Coleman Av and Brokaw Rd, across the street from BAE Systems at 6:40 or 6:56 am, respectively.

From BAE:

Depart at the corner of Coleman Av and Brokaw Rd, on the BAE Systems side of the street at 8:31 am or 8:46 am on Bus 10 (Eastbound)
Exit the bus at Gateway Place and Airport Parkway at 8:45 or 9:00 AM, respectively.

Fare is FREE.
