The first edition of the International Courses on “Advanced Technologies in Power Systems -
FACTS and AI” have been organized between May 27th and June 7th, within the framework of SOCRATES Programme and with the support
of IEEE RoPES Chapter. The courses benefited of
the participation of 13 professors from Romania and abroad, as well as the
participation of 28 PhD students from France, Greece and Romania. Prof. Nikos Hatziargyriou, Prof. Yong Hua Song and
Prof. Yvon Besanger were invited to deliver lectures. All participants received the printed handbooks.
