Instructions for Presenters
 
 
12 minutes of presentation + 3 minutes of discussion (each)
 

The oral session room is equipped with LCD projector and Windows Laptop with PowerPoint and Acrobat PDF reader. Please do your best to use the room laptop and upload your PPT file on it before the beginning of the session. If you need to use your own laptop due to special occasions (only in case of special software for your presentation or in case of major compatibility problems), please check the connection with the projector in the preview room #209 (2F) before the session starts. Please arrive early enough to meet the session chair and to tell him/her your name, affiliation and the title of your paper before the session starts. The presentation time is 15 minutes. This includes speaker transition, setting up your computer (if needed), and question & answers. So each speaker will have to finish his/her talk within 12 minutes to have an enough time for question & answers.

 
 
 
1. 5 minutes of semi-plenary teaser presentation (each) in highlight session
 

The teaser presentation time in highlight session is 5 minutes. The session room is equipped with LCD projector and Windows Laptop with PowerPoint and Acrobat PDF reader. Please do your best to use the room laptop and upload your PPT file on it before the beginning of the session. If you need to use your own laptop due to special occasions (only in case of special software for your presentation or in case of major compatibility problems), please check the connection with the projector in the preview room #209 (2F) before the session starts.

 
 
2. 60 minutes of interactive discussion (total) in next interactive session
 

After your highlight session, in the next interactive session you have to move to your interactive place. Here attendees can ask you questions and engage in discussion during the 60 minutes interactive session. You will have a mini-beam projector to connect to your own laptop. There will also be a fixed sign with the code of your paper so attendees can find you easily.

 
 
 
1. 1 minute of semi-plenary teaser presentation (each) in teaser session
 

You will have only one minute, so you should be able to get your message briefly and clearly. The audience will know if they want to learn more and visit your display during the next interactive session. There will be questions and discussions during the interactive session.

In order to save setting up time, please send your slides (no more than 3 slides in a ppt file) for the one-minute teaser presentation to sec3@iros2016.org no later than September 28. The slides will be uploaded on the room laptop and when you come to the podium, our staff will turn your slide on.

 
2. 60 minutes of interactive discussion (total) in next interactive session
 

After your teaser session, in the next interactive session you should move to your interactive place. Here attendees can ask you questions and engage in discussion during the interactive session. There are three types of presentation during the interactive sessions.

 
  1) Interactive Presentation (same room of the teaser session)
  - 60 minutes of interactive discussion (total)
  - You will have a mini-beam projector to connect to your own laptop. Please check the connection with the mini-beam projector in the preview room #209 (2F) before the session starts.
  - There will also be a fixed sign with the code of your paper so attendees can find you easily.
 
  2) Interactive Demonstration (Lobby, 1F)
  - Morning session of Tuesday, Oct 11
  - 60 minutes of demonstration & discussion (total) (required)
  - One day of demonstration (recommended)
  - You will have a mini booth (one table: 120cm X 70cm, one panel: 240cm X 95cm) to demonstrate.
 
  3) Video Presentation (Emerald Room, 2F)
  - Morning session of Wednesday, Oct 12
  - 1~3 minutes of video play + 5 minutes of discussion (each)
  - Videos to be played repeatedly throughout the day
  - There will be LED TV & laptop to play videos
 
 
 

75 minutes of poster discussion (total)

 

You should prepare and print out your poster up to A0 size, portrait orientation. You are responsible for mounting your poster to the wall of the poster session room at least 10 minutes before the poster session starts, and remaining by the poster during the poster session.

 
 
 

The preview room is equipped with LCD projector, mini-beam projectors and Laptops during conference dates.
If you need to use your own laptop, we recommend you to check the connection of your own laptop with the projector in the preview room before your session starts.
