Social Events
 
Apart from the technical programs, participants are also cordially invited to attend various social events, such as the Welcome Reception, Banquet, Farewell Party and Award Luncheon etc. In addition, participants are also encouraged to explore the beautiful city of Daejeon which has an endless supply of attractions and things to see and do.

The IROS 2016 will welcome you at lovely hanbit square on Monday, October 10 from 18:30 to 20:30. It takes about 10 minutes by walks from DCC. Meet some friends, have a food & drink, enjoy autumn night.

Reception on the Expo Bridge: 17:30-18:00
Dragon Boat Race: 18:00-18:10
You will be welcomed with wine & beer at the reception on the Expo Bridge from 17:30, and then dragon boat race will start at 18:00 as an opening event of the banquet. A dragon boat is a human-powered watercraft. Participants who applied for the race in advance will take part in the racing. Cheer for your friends on the bridge.

Banquet: 18:40-21:00
Opera vocalist will open the banquet at 18:40. The banquet will offer you a good opportunity to promote friendship with participants. Delicious food and various performances like traditional dance, K-Pop and sand art will be offered at the banquet. All students will be invited to "Daejeon Mayor's Banquet".

We are preparing a get together party in old downtown of Daejoen, where you will have chance to get to know each other, make new friendships or just renew old business partnerships. There are many attractions including the 214 meters LED SKYLOAD, hundreds of shops and pubs in the Euneungjeongi Culture Street.
