NUCLEAR SCIENCE SYMPOSIUM

The IEEE Nuclear Science Symposium (NSS) is the leading annual international meeting focused on radiation detection technology and its use across a broad range of applications, including high-energy and nuclear physics, astrophysics, and homeland and national security, as well as at synchrotron and free-electron laser (FEL) facilities. The NSS covers new research in radiation detector materials and component technology, integrated radiation detection systems, analysis techniques and algorithms, and instrumentation for specialized applications. The symposium, along with joint sessions with MIC and RTSD, provides a forum for sharing fundamental advances in these fields. Authors are invited to submit papers describing original, previously unpublished work pertaining to the following topics:

  • Analog and Digital Circuits
  • Astrophysics and Space Instrumentation
  • Data Acquisition and Analysis
  • Gaseous Detectors
  • High Energy and Nuclear Physics Instrumentation
  • Instrumentation for Homeland and National Security
  • Neutron Detectors and Instrumentation
  • Nuclear Measurements and Monitoring Techniques
  • Photodetectors
  • Radiation Damage Effects
  • Scientific Simulation and Computation
  • Scintillators and Scintillation Detectors
  • Semiconductor Detectors: Tracking, Imaging, and Spectroscopy
  • Synchrotron Radiation and FEL Instrumentation
  • Trigger and Front-End Systems
