Presenter Instructions

Interactive Presentation (POD) Guidelines

  • All papers will be presented in interactive format (pods).
  • Award candidate papers will be presented in a single oral award track in room 517cd.
  • Interactive presentations will be held in the exhibit & pod hall (room 220) which will feature 26 custom-built pods.
  • There will three 75 minute interactive sessions per day (May 20-22) to provide plenty of opportunity to speak to the authors.

POD Design

Interactive presentations are grouped into sessions of 6 papers and presented at one of 26 custom-built “pods” which will be numbered 1 to 26.

Each of the pod’s 6 presentation stations includes:

  • one surface for posters (middle) — we provide the adhesive backed Velcro – see below for dimensions
  • one whiteboard surface (left) — we provide pens and erasers
  • one shelf (10” x 39” / 25x100 cm) that is big enough to hold a laptop or widgets that you might want to show off
  • electrical power (15 amps, 120 volts, 1,500 watts) – be sure to bring your power plug adapter!

Poster Size

The maximum dimension of the poster panel is 36” x 90” though we suggest not exceeding 36” wide x 60” high.  We recommend A0 poster size to ensure that the entire poster is easily visible (841 x 1189mm / 33.1 x 46.8 in).

The top of each poster is well above head height which ensures that poster titles are clearly visible, even from a distance. Please ensure a minimum font size of 50 pts for the header. The last number of your presentation code indicates which section of the pod has been dedicated to you (numbered 1 to 6). Volunteers will install a label to identify your section and distribute Velcro.

There is no specific template for the posters for the Pod presentations. All authors are free to choose the format they choose for the poster for their Pod presentation that best represents their research work.

Please note that ICRA 2019 does not offer an onsite poster printing service.
