Dr. Zoltan Fekete

Zoltan Fekete received Master and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering in 2009 and 2013 respectively, from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, in Hungary. Since completing his M.S., he is a research fellow at the MEMS Laboratory of the Institute for Technical Physics & Material Sciences, Research Centre for Natural Sciences, HAS. His research interests lie in the development of silicon MEMS devices for biomedical applications including novel neural interfaces. In 2013, he was awarded an Alexander von Humboldt Fellowship for postdoctoral researchers. As a post doc in the Department of Microsystems Engineering (IMTEK) at the University of Freiburg, he focuses on the micro- and nanofabrication of novel 3D microelectrode arrays for high density optogenetic stimulation.
