Simon Genter studied Microsystems Engineering at the University in Freiburg. In 2008 he acquired his Bachelor-degree with his Bachelor-thesis about “Sterilization methods for implantable vital parameter sensors”. In the subsequent studies he attended the concentrations “Biomedical Engineering”, “Materials” and “Circuit and Systems” and finished his studies with the Masters-thesis with the topic “Development of an implantable sensor for the measurement of the hemoglobin concentration in blood” in 2011. Since April of 2011 he has been working as a PhD student within the PhD-program “Micro Energy Harvesting” on the development of micro generators based on electrets.
