geared up for its third event "IEEE WIE Leadership Summit 2015". It was the first ever event organized in the campus
and comprised Guest Lectures followed by a Panel Discussion.

Workshop series on Open source softwares & Document typesetting
LaTeX is one the most popular document processing software used by researchers across the world to prepare papers, reports, theses, and presentations. At the same time, pertinent and precise writing skills are needed to effectively communicate the message. A good hands-on training on general open source software is important to implement any algorithm or idea.
The workshop series being organized by Student Branch of IIT Kharagpur and WIE Affinity Group
concentrate on things which are of practical importance for students and need to be accompanied by
a demonstration/hands-on session. The objective is to familiarize students with softwares and skills. |

IEEE Day 2012 OCT 02, 2012 The IEEE Kharagpur Section, IIT Kharagpur Student Branch, and
WIE Affinity Group jointly celebrated the IEEE Day 2012 on October 2, 2012. The event was marked by special talks by Professor Ramesh Garg
on motivating students and teachers about IEEE benefits and encouraging them towards the IEEE Community,
and by Professor Soumitro Banerjee on the importance of understanding nonlinearity in physical systems.
